Scenarios: a solution for carriers build Metropolitan Area Networks.
Structure:
This is a typical metropolitan area network 3 level architecture, consisting core layer, aggregation layer and access layer. In FTTX scenario, fiberhome core switches (S7800 series) can be used to aggregate Internet traffic, and aggregation switches can be used in buildings or in enterprises to access different terminals like laptops, cellphones, printers, cameras and so on. If the last mile is covered by wireless APs as in the FTTW scenarios, fiberhome have the POE switches.

By hardware based OAM and BFD technique, Fiberhome switchs can achieve fast faulty detection and 50ms resilience, which means switchover from Active switch to standby switch can be done within 50ms.
