Fengine S2800 series intelligent fast Ethernet switches (S2800) are leading Layer 2 manageable edge devices developed by FiberHome for service providers and enterprise networks. It provides 10/100 Mbps downlink and 1000 Mbps uplink Ethernet ports and can be deployed in various scenarios, such as access layer for 100 Mbps-to-desktop in enterprise networks, metropolitan area networks and various industry networks to connect end users or aggregate client devices with 10/100 Mbps connections. Combining the 10/100M and Power over Ethernet (PoE), Fengine S2800 enhances end user’s connection convenience by enabling applications such as IP telephony, wireless and video. With improved operational excellence, highly secure business operations, improved sustainability and an enhanced quality of experience,the S2800 helps customers build networks with lower the OPEX & CAPEX.
The S2800 offers a comprehensive security solution in three areas: subscriber, switch and network.
Subscriber security helps create protections among customers with multiple features, DHCP Snooping,
ARP Inspection, and IP Source Guard help to identify each customer based on MAC,
IP address and port information to prevent malicious attack.
Switch security means the switch itself can be protected against DoS attack and broadcast/multicast/DLF storm.
Also customers can control the number of MAC addresses to protect against overwhelming the switch memory.
For network security, filters can be added for all incoming traffic to ensure only valid traffic passing through into the network.
IEEE 802.1x authentication prevents insecure terminals to intrude into the entire network..
PoE removes the need for wall power to each PoE-enabled device and eliminates the cost for additional electrical
cabling and circuits that would otherwise be necessary in IP phone and WLAN deployments.
S2800-PE complies with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at, it supports 24 full-pow-ered PoE ports at 15.4W simultaneously
and max 30W power per PoE port with 370W PoE power to powered-device, such as IP Phone, WLAN APs, cameras.
Intelligent PoE allocations can also be applied for more efficient energy savings. The user can specify maximum power
setting on an individual port as well as configure when and whether the PoE port to supply power.
S4800-PE switch complies with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at, it can supply maximum
30W power (per PoE port) to 802.11n complied powered devices such as IP Phone, WLAN APs, cameras.
The S2800 series switches are fan-free design. It can dramatically reduces power consumption and eliminates noise,
and also reduces mechanical faults as well as protects the switch from damage by condensed water and dust.
The S2800 adopts an energy-saving design to ensure heat dissipated properly.
Idle ports can enter a sleep mode to further reduce power consumption
