Fengine S5800-S-E series gigabit switches are the next-generation Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices developed by FiberHome for service providers and enterprise networks.
The S5800-S-Eprovides a large switching capacity and high density GE ports to implement 10Gbit/s upstream transmissions. It can be deployed in various scenari-os, such as convergence layer of large enterprise networks and campus networks, core layer of medium & small enterprise networks, and the leading-edge layer of MANs, as well as a desktop switch for terminal GE access. Combining the 10/100/1000 and Power over Ethernet(PoE), the S5800-S-E enhances connection convenience by enabling applications such as IP telephony, wirelessand video. The S5800-S-E uses advanced reliability, security, and energy conservation technolo-gies to help customers build networks with lower OPEX & CAPE.
The S5800-S-E provides enhanced Ethernet reliability technologies such as STP/RSTP/MSTP,
Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (G.8032) at millisecond-level protection switchover,
as well as R-link and VRRP to ensure link-level reliability
All S5800-X models support 1+1 redundant hot swappable power supply and an AC power supply and a DC power can be used simultaneously.Moreover, the switch supports fault detection and alarms
for power modules and fan, fan speed can be automatically adjusted according to temperature variations.

with mechanisms for marking, classification, and scheduling
It supports traffic classification based on abundant criteria such as MAC/IP address,
Layer 4 TCP/UDP port number,protocol, port and VLAN.
The S5800-S-E offers a comprehensive security solution by providingservice security
in three aspects:subscriber, switch and network.
Subscriber security helps create protections among customers with multiple features.
DHCP Snooping, ARP Inspection, and IP Source Guard help to identify each customer based on MAC,
IP address and port information to help prevent malicious attack.
Switch security means CPU can be protected from DoS attack and storm. The port security feature
allows controlling the number of MAC addresses against overwhelming the switch memory.
