The FONST 1000 U Series are small-sized intelligent POTN equipments. They are featured with centralized universal cell switching and supports multi-service transparent transmission technology, The FONST 1000 U Series has abundant service access capabilities and flexible network capabilities.
The height is only U1-U5 and 4-18 slots in total, max15 (DC power supply subrack) or 12 (AC power supply subrack) of which can be plugged with OTU cards
Support flexible configurations of DWDM to meet the requirements of the access layer of MAN on network cost, transmission distance, and transmission capacity, etc

The FONST 1000 U Series can access multiple services including SDH, Ethernet, SAN, OTN and video services. The FONST 1000 U Series completely meets
the requirement on transmission of multiple services in access/edge layer of MAN/LAN, with full-granularity grobit/s to 100 Gbit/s.
A hybrid network of the FONST 1000 U Series and the FONST 5000 U series can make up a complete POTN end-to-end network. Besides that, the FONST
1000 U Series can also combine with the SDH/PTH, PON or data equipment for a hybrid network. Such a hybrid networking can provide an overall solution for the transport network.
