A plenary meeting of the ITU-T SG15 (Transmission, Access, Home Networking and Technology and Infrastructure) Research Group was held on 7-18 September 2020 in the context of the global pandemic in the form of a webinar. In terms of transport, the conference will focus on 25G WDM solutions for 5G front-haul, OTN and MTN series standards, new synchronization requirements and protocol extensions, and optical media layer management standards.

At this meeting, a total of 26 key topics of transmission were approved, including multi-channel WDM application (G.OWDM) of O-band single-channel optical interface in the aspect of the characteristics of Q6 terrestrial transmission network optical system jointly proposed by Fiberhome and the Chinese Operators, and MTN-based synchronization requirements (G.mtnsync) in Q13 network synchronization and time allocation performance group. At the same time, in Q14 management and control of transmission system and equipment, Fiberhome leads in the program of the media management information model case (G.Suppl.media-im-ex), which fully reflects the international standard industry's recognition of Fiberhome's technical strength. In addition, the groups will continue to make further revisions to the adopted hot items.
It is worth noting that through the joint efforts of China Mobile and Fiberhome for 4 years, the MTN channel layer overhead scheme was finally determined and the SPN core standard MTN interface (G.8312, original G.mtn) was finally approved. At the same time, the MTN functional architecture (G.8310, original G.mtn-arch) and supplementary file of the transfer of quasi-standard network to MTN network (G.sup.mtn-migration) based on the project were also approved.

In OTN, the optical transmission module framing interface (G.sup58) of which the foreign expert of Fiberhome is the editor, has been approved. OTN Transfer sub1G service (G.Sup.sub1G) was approved and the new Optical service Unit Layer network (G.osu) will continue to be discussed at the next intermediate meeting. In addition, the G.709 series and the latest additions to G.798 were approved.

In synchronization timing, the packet-based synchronization timing master program (G.8261),BC,TSC and TC clock features (G.8273.2 and G.8273.3), and the G.8275 series related to the PTP protocol were approved. At the same time, the MTN synchronous standard jointly promoted by China Mobile and Fiberhome was approved.
In terms of management and control standards, 7 projects of editors undertaken by fiberhome experts have been approved, and 9 media management information model cases and related project additions have been approved, all of which are edited by Fiberhome experts. This fully reflects the leading position of Fiberhome in the field of management and control standards.

Before the meeting, the participants made full preparations. The science and Technology Management Department of Fiberhome takes the lead in organizing the discussion and review of manuscripts. This time, 20 papers led by led by led by China Information Technology Group Corporation cover 5G front-haul , MTN channel overhead scheme. All the papers discussed at the meeting were approved and adopted.

At present, our company is gaining more and more seats in the international standards, and our voice is becoming stronger and stronger, and the technical proposals submitted are more and more been recognized and adopted. The road of international standard of Fiberhome will become wider and wider.
