Fengine FIS5000 series switches are the first ruggedized compact switches developed by FiberHome for industry applications, such as manufacturing, power plant, mining, oil and gas, transportation, and other industrial work sites. The series is produced and con-forming to communication network system certification standards by IEC61850-3(substation) and standard for industrial applications of general purpose by IEEE1613 substation); the series have passed the certification test of State Grid Electric Power Research Institute. All the series are the preferred products satisfying digital substation system requirements. They also meet the application requirements of transport, railways and other industries.
FIS5000 is designed to provide users with easy networking configuration with different combination of 4-6 FE Ethernet ports and 2-4 FE optical ports, all of which made the ar-chitecture of the network more flexible and reliable. FIS5000 supports looped network redundancy protocol; switching and recovery time of network link are less than 50ms.

The FIS5000 series products achieved IP40 industrial protection level for harden,
seal design and compatible with EMC level 4, for electromagnetic resistance,

a variety of power types. FIS5000 is resistant from shock, moisture,
dust, salt fog and can work very well in all kinds of extreme industrial environment.
FIS5000 series switches adopt unique surface concave and convex technology for better heat dispassion,
to ensure the thermal diffusion for internal components in fan-free condition, so that the equipment can be stably working.
FIS5000 supports remote power-down equipment hardware and software alarm; configuration
and debugging of products can be made by web browser, Telnet, Console; FIS5000 supports
built-in diagnostics, network fault analysis and Investigation; alarm of abnormal events can be
made by Email, system voice notice and relay Automatic output.

FIS5000 support looped network with redundancy protocols, including EAPS, RSTPI STP/MSTP,
etc.Switching and recovery time of network link are less than 50ms; millisecond switching delay improves the reliability of the network.
