FIBERHOME TELECOM´S MSAN BROADBAND/NARROWBAND INTEGRATED ACCESS EQUIIPMENT AN3300-O1 PASSED INDONIS

     In the access network equipment softswitch interface tests organized by Indonesia Telecom (TELKOM RisTi) in October of 2005, FiberHome Telecom's MSAN broadband/narrowband integrated access equipment AN3300-01 smoothly passed all the tests on its MEGACO interfaces and its comprehensive functions produced unanimous favorable comment from TELKOM RisTi, which is ready to adopt it in the NGN across the country.  This success will have major significance for the distribution of the integrated access equipment in the Indonesian market.  There were over a dozen Chinese and foreign well-known telecom manufacturers participating in the tests.

   In compliance with the main trend of the development of the current telecom network convergence, FiberHome Telecom has launched AN3300-01 equipment, which is an IP-based and NGN-oriented broadband/narrowband integrated access system.  It incorporates the conventional V5 access network functions with IP-DSLAM functions and VOIP media gateway functions, well converging the existing services and laying a good foundation for the introduction of and support to new services.  This system provides the operators with the maximum flexibility in introducing services, enabling them to offer new services conveniently and highly efficiently without additional infrastructure to satisfy the subscribers' demands and protect their investment.

   Adopting pure IP switching kernel, this system greatly enhances the performances of the total equipment.  It IP bus has a bandwidth as broad as 96G, supporting EPON services.  Its strong multicasting service supporting capability and value-added service managing capability support the all-round promotion of IPTV.  Inheriting IP kernel equipment's fine characteristics of smooth support to new functions, it is able to support new services only by increasing the types of new cards and the upgrading the online software.  Its main control board has 1+1 redundant hot backup and all the single boards are separately powered, supporting swap.  It supports V5 and VOIP double routing, providing free choice of dual networks and redundant backup.  The VOIP services support multiple MGC's.  The local equipment (AN33OO—01C) and the remote equipment (AN3300-01R) employ the same hardware platform and the cards are totally universal, reducing the operational and maintenance costs. The control and management of the broadband and narrowband services are both controlled by the main control board (GSW) or (ESW) and share the same network management platform ANM2000, resulting in the unified management of the services at the equipment level.  At the subscriber side, it supports the unified access of various broadband and narrowband services,  It has multiple narrowband accesses of POTS, SCHK, XDDN data private line (V.24/V.35) , SHDSL (TDM), 2/4-line analog private line, EM signaling and E1 private line and the broadband accesses of ADSL, ADSL2+, SHDSL (IP), Ethernet, VDSL, EPON.  At the network side, it supports V5 narrowband uplink, 7 FE/GE broadband uplinks and VOIP uplink, the transfer from V5 to VOIP, the H248/MGCP-standard VOIP functions, the separation and convergence of the existing networks and the smooth evolution to the next generation networks.  The operators can select different modes of evolution in accordance with their practical needs.  Thanks to these characteristics of AN3300-01 equipment, it has become the optimum option for the evolution to the next generation networks.
