After strict and comprehensive evaluations, Fuxin Netcom, Liaoning has recently selected FiberHome Telecom from among numerous strongly competitive equipment manufacturers to supply FonsWeaver 780 ASON equipment for building its local backbone networks, which marks the deepening of the strategic cooperative partnership between the two parties and fully shows the solid strength of FiberHome Telecom in the field of intelligent optical networks.
  In this project, FiberHome Telecom has designed a custom-made ASON solution with FonsWeaver series converged with network intelligence according to the network status and service characteristics of frequent service scheduling, fairly high requirement for service opening time and bursting and unpredictable fast-growing data services.  The solution can provide overall, efficient, economical and end-to-end dynamic bandwidth protection and recovery, reduce the operational cost and greatly enhance the survivability and flexibility of the networks
  Incorporating multiple kinds of advanced technologies in the industry with the service recovery time at the leading level in the world, this solution supports the smooth upgrading of different link recovery strategies from loop network protection to Mesh networks, dramatically enhancing the network resistance against multiple failures.  The perfect distributed intelligence enables the fast automatic end-to-end allocation of services, greatly improving the network availability, and the abundant service interfaces and excellent data optimization processing capability can meet the explosive requirement of data services, offering still more value-added services.  In addition, super-large-capacity blockless multi-granular service conducting capability, strong operational, maintaining and managing capabilities and good expansibility can facilitate the smooth evolution of the existing networks into the next-generation intelligent optical networks.
  As early as in 2000, FiberHome Telecom began to pay close attention to the relevant international standards, concentrate efforts on the development of ASON equipment and the investigations in the smooth evolution of the existing conventional networks to the next generation intelligent optical networks and has undertaken the major research projects of the national 863 program in respect of optical networks and obtained lots of research results and relevant patents in relation to the next generation optical network system development.  At the present, its commercially available FonsWeaver equipment of the ASON system has passed the strict tests one after another by many third-party institutions such as the National 863 Program expert teams, the Telecommunication Research Institute of MII, China Telecom’s Beijing Research Institute and Shanghai Research Institute, Research Institute of Guangdong Telecommunication Co., Ltd., Guangdong Telecommunication Planning Institute, fully verifying the maturity and reliability of the system and laying a solid foundation for its large-scale commercial applications.
