A few days ago, FiberHome Telecom succeeded in being selected by China Telecom as one of its cooperative manufacturers in its FTTH trials after strict testing and sifting by China Telecom and has started out to implement the pilot projects in Shanghai and Wuhan, which will be its another achievements after cutting over the FTTH projects in Chengdu (Tailong community), Wuhan (Metropolitan Shangrila) and Beijing (kHOUSE community, a group of top-grade villas, evolved from TOWN HOUSE).
As the most ideal way of broadband access of fixed networks in the future, FTTH has been attracting the great interest of the operators owing to its fabulous superiority in bandwidth. This year, China Telecom has attached much weight to the relevant issues of FTTH and begun the building and exploration of trial projects in some cities so as to accumulate experience and seize advantageous positions in the future information market.
This time, FiberHome Telecom will undertake one of China Telecom’s important FTTH trial projects for Shanghai Pudong Information Building, located in the high-priced central commercial area in Shanghai. This project has very high requirements in integrated services, bandwidth and stability as it will serve several dozens of well-known international enterprises. In accordance with the end-users’ practical needs for integrated services, FiberHome Telecom will provide a GEPON-based FTTH solution, which can provide comprehensive services including telephone, TDM private-line service, broadband data and HDIPTV.
The HDIPTV service is based on HDTV system and the code stream of the programs is as high as 20Mbps, giving the viewers unprecedented audiovisual enjoyment. Carried by IPv6 protocol, this service is adapted to the growth trend of the next generation data networks. In addition, this project provides EPON-based TDM (2M) private-line services for the first time in China so that the subscribers can continue enjoying the original service without modifying the existing LAN and visual communication platform and the operators are relieved of the need to install additional MSTP equipment, reducing the network building cost in the access layer in a large margin.
Located in Zisong community in Wuhan, the other FTTH trial project has a 1st-phase capacity of over 400 subscribers, for which FiberHome Telecom provides a packaged services including preliminary design, installation, wiring and auxiliary equipment. When it is completed, the end-users can freely enjoy the infinite pleasure brought about by the Triple Play service of voice, data and video.
By now, FiberHome Telecom has had an overall mastery of various core technologies in FTTH field and the integrated superiorities in the relevant industries from chips, equipment to fibers and cables. It has completed over a dozen of FTTH trial projects in China and accumulated rich experience in project design, installation, operation and maintenance.
